Wageeh W. Azer, MD

Dr. Azer graduated with honors from Cairo University School of Medicine in Egypt, where he earned his Master's Degree in Surgery.

He completed his residency in General Surgery at SUNY Upstate Medical University in Syracuse, NY. He trained in modern surgery techniques including laparoscopic and robotic surgery.

In addition, Dr. Azer completed two fellowships at Johns Hopkins University Hospital in Baltimore, MD; one in Burn and Wound Care and the other in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, where he learned the most advanced and effective techniques in cosmetic surgery under the direction of world renowned plastic surgeon Dr. Paul Manson.

He completed six months of advanced training at the University of Maryland Hospital as well as Shock Trauma Hospital, where he learned limb salvage techniques and complex hernia repair using component separation.

Dr. Azer has publications in the most reputable medical and surgical journals and is a member of several professional medical associations.
